Matt Piedmont (born 1970) is an American Emmy winning writer and Sundance award winning director. At age 25 he secured a job as a writer for ''Saturday Night Live'', a position he held for six years, earning an Emmy in the process.〔(Matt Piedmont )〕 On his final show in 2002, Will Ferrell held up a sign in the show's closing credits that read "Matt Piedmont is the best in the biz".〔(Zap 2 It )〕 Piedmont also created, wrote and directed the popular web series ''The Carpet Brothers''. Piedmont directed the Spanish language feature film ''Casa de Mi Padre'', starring Will Ferrell, Diego Luna, Gael Garcia Bernal, Nick Offerman and Genesis Rodriguez.
